Date: 8/5/2021 Location: Flemington, NJ Pizza ordered: Plain and White Website: defaziosflemington.com/  DeFazio's is tucked into a small strip mall along the busy NJ-31 that runs through Flemington, NJ. The parking lot has ample space and the interior of the restaurant has plenty of seating. The pizzeria is very clean and the staff is friendly and inviting.
I went with a plain slice and a white slice. The plain slice had a good, crispy, thin base with a crisp crust. The sauce and cheese were great and applied in good ratios. This was a great standard slice. The white pizza had fluffy, creamy cheese with a slightly softer base and a fluffier crust. This too was a good standard. Overall, I'm happy with the pizza from DeFazio's.

 Virami's Pizza gives off an old-school, Jersey Shore pizzeria vibe. Something about the benches outside, the walkway up to the entrance, and wooden benches inside make me feel like it's the middle of July and I'm grabbing a slice or two after spending the day soaking up some sun. On this visit, I decided to go with the tomato slice in addition to my usual plain slice. It looked really good behind the glass countertop and it did not disappoint taste-wise. The tomatoes were juicy, the cheese was melty and plentiful. The slice also had a delicious garlic seasoning. The plain slice tasted like your standard Jersey slice. It had a nice, thin, crispy base with decent sauce and good, slightly greasy cheese.

I stopped into Franco's on the way home from the Jersey Shore. I picked this spot in particular because they are open until 11:00pm which is later than most of the other pizzerias and it was already close to 9:30pm. The staff was very friendly and inviting. Service was quick and the prices were decent.
I went with two plain slices and a pasta slice. The pasta slice was alright. It wasn't really anything special. The plain slices were on point though. They had good sauce and good cheese. The base was thin and crispy. The crust was just the right amount of crispy with a good bready flavor. |
