The staff is friendly and attentive. The pizzeria is quiet, but features plenty of seating for larger parties. I ordered a classic plain cheese pie. The pizza featured a soft, fluffy dough and base with a flavorful sauce and excellent, toasted cheese (perfectly browned). The slices had great flavor and were just what I needed to warm me up on a chilly, rainy day.

 Radici in Portland, Maine, is a unique pizza experience. Unlike your stock pizzeria, this establishment focuses on sourdough pizza that is made with local flour, hand mixed, and naturally leavened.
For my order, I went with their staple Margherita slice. The slice boasted an excellent structure, thanks to the nice, airy gluten networks in the crust. The charring was just right, and it added a smoky depth that elevated the overall taste. The cheese melted nicely and toasted in a few areas which combined flavors well with the sweet sauce and the fresh basil. Radici's commitment to sourcing local ingredients shines through in every aspect of its sourdough pizza. The love and care that goes into the crafting of their pies is something to be admired. I would recommend Radici if you're looking for an artisanal pizza experience! |
