 I recently had the chance to try Antonio's for the first time, and overall it was a fairly average experience. The cheese was okay - not particularly impressive, but not terrible either. The sauce was decent, with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. The slice I had was topped with a generous amount of herbs, which added some nice flavor and freshness. However, I did find the crust to be a bit dry, which took away from the overall enjoyment of the pie. On the plus side, the dining area at Antonio's was nice and comfortable, with plenty of seating and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, I would say that Antonio's is a solid choice for a quick slice or pie, but it's not necessarily a destination spot for pizza lovers.

I decided to go with a slice of plain and a penne vodka slice. The plain slice had a bit of flop and a slightly gummy interior. The cheese and sauce were decent and the crust was pleasantly crispy. The penne vodka slice had a much better structure. It featured a creamy, cheesy sauce with a toasty, smoky crust. The pasta was excellent and filling. All in all, Lenny's puts out a decent pizza.

I decided to go with a plain slice and a penne vodka slice. Both slices featured a thin and crispy base which provided the perfect foundation for the flavorful sauce and delicious cheese. I was also impressed by the nice char on the crust, which added a great depth of flavor and a satisfying crunch. The pasta slice was cheese heaven and featured a nice, creamy sauce. All in all, I would highly recommend Capuano's for anyone looking for good pizza in the Flemington area.

The wooden chairs and checkered tablecloths bring about feelings of a classic neighborhood restaurant.
As for the pizza, the crust was excellent. It was fluffy and bready, with the perfect amount of exterior crisp. The sauce and cheese were of excellent quality. The sauce had a rich, savory flavor and the cheese was perfectly melted. I also appreciated the freshness of the ingredients. The peppers and onions were crisp and vibrant. Overall, I definitely recommend Taste of Naples pizzeria. The slice was perfect! It had a superb, slightly sweet, sauce. The base was crispy and the crust was bready and flavorful. It had the ideal amount of cheese. The slice was also very foldable and had great structure. There's just something magical about enjoying a perfect slice of pizza and Marinelli's made it happen.

I had quite the appetite and they had a great selection to choose from. I ended up going with my usual slice of plain and then decided on the tortellini slice - it seemed like it would be very filling.
The plain slice had a soft base with a subpar structure. The decent sauce and good cheese were able to slightly make up for things. The slice also had a great, bready, fluffy crust. The tortellini slice was on the oily side, but the plentiful cheese and delicious garlicky flavor really did make it a good one. It's a great place to stop in if you're walking around doing some shopping. Inside you'll find the classic, wooden booths that your old-school neighborhood pizzeria was known for. The staff is friendly and the service is quick! As for their pizza: it's good. The plain is decent with a slightly softer crust, good sauce, and good cheese. The pasta slice kicked but. The thin, crispy base was sturdy enough to support a thick layer of delicious vodka-sauced pasta. The sauce was perfectly cheesy and creamy. I also liked the fluffy, bready crust.

Al Fresco's is located in a mall that is situated next to the busy Route 202 which runs straight through Flemington. There's a large parking area and plenty of indoor seating, so large parties should feel comfortable dining here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
I decided to go with the Margherita pie and the vodka sauce pie. The Margherita pie is simply AMAZING. The sauce is sweet and delicious. It's clear the plum tomatoes Al Fresco's uses are high quality. The fresh mozzarella tastes great, but beware of cheese slide! The fresh basil adds the perfect finishing touch. The vodka pie features a creamy, buttery vodka sauce that tastes fantastic. Just like the Margherita pie, the base and crust are both thin and crispy. Overall, I'm very impressed with Al Fresco's and will happily eat here again. The parking situation can be a bit dicey at peak hours. There aren't very many spots.
Inside is a bit cramped, but the staff is friendly and service is quick. I decided to go with a plain slice and a margherita slice. The slices were average. The sauce and cheese taste great, but the base of the slices was fairly soft and didn't have great structure. The cheese slid around a lot too when taking a bite. Overall, the pizza wasn't bad. The parking lot has ample space and the interior of the restaurant has plenty of seating. The pizzeria is very clean and the staff is friendly and inviting.
I went with a plain slice and a white slice. The plain slice had a good, crispy, thin base with a crisp crust. The sauce and cheese were great and applied in good ratios. This was a great standard slice. The white pizza had fluffy, creamy cheese with a slightly softer base and a fluffier crust. This too was a good standard. Overall, I'm happy with the pizza from DeFazio's. |
