Date: 12/18/2021 Location: Holden, ME Pizza ordered: Plain cheese Website: www.facebook.com/patspizzaholden/ I recently had the pleasure of trying Pat's Pizza for the first time, and I was impressed by their bar-style pizza. Both the base and crust were perfectly thin and crispy. The cheese and sauce went all the way to the edge of the pizza, just like any good bar pie should. The cheese itself was nicely browned and full of flavor, and the sauce was fresh and perfectly balanced. Overall, I was impressed with Pat's Pizza and would recommend it to anyone in search of a delicious, thin-crust pie.

Date: 01/22/2022 Location: Bucksport, ME Pizza ordered: plain cheese pizza Phone Number: (207) 469-7511 Bucksport House of Pizza is a must-try for any pizza lover in the area. The crust on their pies is light and airy with a crispy interior that is truly delightful. The cheese blend is greasy and delicious, and the sauce is generous and full of flavor.
In addition to their fantastic pizza, the staff at Bucksport House of Pizza is incredibly friendly and provides fast, efficient service. The restaurant also has a nice booth seating area and a bar, making it a great spot to grab a slice and a drink with friends. If you're in the mood for a delicious pizza with a crispy, airy crust and plenty of sauce, be sure to stop by Bucksport House of Pizza. You won't be disappointed! Date: 11/24/2021 Location: Searsport, Maine Pizza Ordered: Plain Phone: (207) 548-2020 At a quick glance while driving by, my wife and I thought this spot was a dinosaur-themed pizzeria. It wasn't until we stopped laughing that we realized it was more likely pronounced differently than we first thought. The pizza from Dino's is no joke though! If you want a thin, crisp base and some light, flavorful sauce - this is the spot. The crust has a toasty crispness and the cheese is well-done. The pizza is on the greasy side, but it reminds me of a good bowling alley pizza. Oh, and they have a nice seating area inside with classic wooden booths. I'll definitely be ordering more from Dino's in the future.
Date: 01/09/2022 Location: Knox, Maine Pizza ordered: plain pie Phone: (207) 568-4848 I routinely pass by Hilltop Store on the way to Augusta. I've stopped in a number of times for gas and snacks. I also picked up some delicious local salsa from Hilltop a few months back. The staff is friendly and the store is well-stocked. I decided to try the pizza on one of my visits and overall it wasn't too bad. The crust was very fluffy and the pizza was loaded with cheese (they did NOT hold back). The pizza had a soft base and the sauce was excellent! My only complaint would be the excessive cornmeal on the bottom of the pie. I'm still giving the store 5-stars for the good prices, good selection, friendly staff, and convenient location.
Date: 5/21/2022 Location: Monroe, Maine Pizza ordered: Large plain pie Phone Number: (207) 525-3300 I recently moved to the area and finally had a chance to visit the Monroe Country Store. There is a large, gravel parking area immediately next to the store. The store has a lovely wooden porch and a beautiful, homey, wooden interior. There's a small seating area to the left when you first enter and a local Maine craft shelf off to the right. In the back, you'll find your typical convenience store items. The middle of the store has the counter area and kitchen. I had no issue ordering my pizza over the phone and the staff was very friendly when I entered to pick it up. The pizza had a soft, fluffy base with a crisp bottom. The crust was also of the soft and bready variety. The cheese was plentiful and delicious. The pie also had a tasty sauce. I'm definitely a fan of the pizza and will likely return soon to try some of the other foods!
Date: 12/23/2021 Location: Augusta, Maine Pizza ordered: Bianca & Plain Website: www.antigonispizza.com/
Antigoni's Pizza is a good lunch/dinner spot if you're in the mood for some pizza. They have a sizable parking area with plenty of room for seating. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I ordered the plain cheese pizza and the Bianca white pizza. Both pies had delicious, light, airy, buttery crusts that reminded me of a good dinner roll. The plain pie had a thin, crisp bottom with a delicious, sweet sauce and a buttery cheese. The Bianca's cheese blend was excellent. Lots of oil and a light garlicky flavor were present for the Bianca pie. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would happily return. Date: 1/28/2022 Location: Hampden, Maine Pizza ordered: plain cheese pizza Website: http://pizzagourmet.biz/ I wish I had known Pizza Gourmet was known for their whoopie pies before I ordered! I would have tried those out too. Maybe next time. As far as accommodations go, Pizza Gourmet has a shared parking lot with plenty of spaces. They have a cozy dining area that can fit quite a few people, so don't worry about bringing a larger party out to eat.
The pizza is decent. The pie had a golden brown base with a nice, fluffy crust. The sauce was tasty and the cheese was of good quality. There are a few spices sprinkled on top of the cheese which add some complexity - but I keep getting an interesting hint of cinnamon. It's certainly unusual. Overall, this is a decent spot with friendly staff and fast service. Date: 6/3/2022 Location: Hamden, Maine Pizza ordered: Plain Website: hampden.angelosbangor.com/ordering/intro I've driven by a few times now and finally, I had an opportunity to stop in and grab some pizza. The parking lot is enough to fit a few cars and there are a few tables outside on the covered porch. Inside you'll find more booths and tables - plenty of space for a decent-sized group. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I went with a plain cheese pizza and it was pretty good! The crust was thick, fluffy, but also airy and light. They certainly didn't skimp on the cheese which was browned nicely. The sauce was pleasantly sweet. There was a little bit of cheese slide, but I didn't mind too much. Overall, I'm happy with Angelo's and would happily return for more.
Date: 2/5/2022 Location: Hampden, ME Pizza ordered: four cheese Website: www.patspizzahampden.com/index.html Pat's Pizza is a cozy, restaurant that gives me neighborhood diner vibes in all the right ways. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and they treated me like family. Inside you'll find a mix of wooden tables and booths. There's plenty of space for small groups and larger parties. The beer tap list is small, but they've got the standard line-up and plenty of bottle/can options. The menu is expansive and features a lot of great options. Of course, I went with pizza. This time, I opted for the four-cheese pizza.
The pizza had a soft, thin base with chees right up to the crust. I'm a sucker for cheese that starts to caramelize on the crust due to the heat of the pan. The cheese blend is consistent and delicious, plus, there was a lot of it! They didn't skimp on the cheese. The sauce was very flavorful and slightly chunky in a good way. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Pat's Pizza and look forward to returning soon. Date: 12/6/2021 Location: South China, ME Pizza ordered: Plain Website: It's a gas station convenience store, lol I decided to stop at the Fieldstone Quickstop on the way home from work to grab a bite to eat. The store was clean and well-kept. There was a good variety of snacks, alcohol, drinks, and hot foods. I decided to go with the pizza. The slice had a soft base with a fluffy, garlicky crust. The cheese was browning nicely and was greasy (in a good kind of way). The sauce was nice and sweet. Overall, not a bad slice for a gas station convenience store. I'm impressed.
