Driving back to Maine from New Jersey, I found myself in need of some fuel to get me the rest of the way. I am so thankful I decided to visit Cornerstone Artisanal Pizza. The food, atmosphere, and staff were all tremendous. (Unfortunately, at the time I'm getting around posting this, their Porstmouth, NH location has closed. Fear not: they have a new spot in Ogunquit, ME.)

Anyway, back to the pizza. I went with the classic cheese pizza and also the Katadhin Mushroom pizza. The cheese pie featured a light, fluffy crust. The base was thin, and the cheese was excellent, but it was a bit light on sauce. The fresh basil made up for this and packed a good flavor to the pie. The real winner was the Katadhin Mushroom pizza. It was REALLY good. The mushrooms added a nice earthy flavor that balanced the salt, shavings of parmesan cheese, and the spice of the fresh arugula. I am absolutely going to visit the Ogunquit location in the near future because I had such a great experience at their Portsmouth location.
