Pete & Elda's is a popular, neighborhood sports bar and pizzeria that serves a quintessential bar pie. This spot is also known for their solo pie challenge where a patron can attempt a double-extra large pie and if the entire pie is finished solo, that person wins a t-shirt. Of course, this is exactly what my friend Charlie and I both decided to do. 

The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, like any perfect bar pie. There are good portions of delicious sauce and plenty of salty cheese that ties the whole pie together. I really enjoyed this pizza. My friend Charlie also gave me the secret to finishing the challenge with ease: stack the slices. If you stack them, it's like you only have to finish 4 slices, and since they're so thin, you hardly even notice! 

I had a blast completing the challenge. The staff was very friendly and inviting and really made the entire experience positive. I noticed on their Instagram that they have a new shirt design and I'm counting the days until I can return for more delicious thin crust.
